Terrence Soule, DDS, worked with the Health Care Center for the Homeless
for two and a half years. The Health Care Center for the Homeless, located in
Orlando, Florida, is a non-profit organization that ensures that homeless and
low-income people in Orlando have access to basic and emergency medical and
dental care. The Center offers counseling, acute care, assistance managing
low-term chronic conditions, and other medical care to homeless and uninsured
patients from Orlando and the surrounding counties. Their eventual goal is to
return their homeless patients to healthy, independent, and stable lives.
Dr. Terrence Soule worked in the Health Care Center’s dental clinic.
He saw many patients with a variety of dental concerns, and he worked with them
in a professional and caring manner. At the Center, Terrence Soule
did routine procedures, annual exams, and several urgent or emergency
surgeries. Many of his patients had been without dental care for years, and did
not have a stable living environment in which to care for their teeth. His
caring, compassionate manner helped his patients realize the importance of
taking care of their health and working with Center staff towards stability and
good health, and encouraged them to return for follow-up appointments.
